  • Tharuki Aloka won the championship in the SNS International handball competiton held on the 23rd of February 2016.

  • A Vesak lantern competition is held annually and the winners are given prizes.
  • The buddhist society held an inter-class drawing and poem writing competition related to Vesak festivals. The winning creations are printed as Vesak greeting cards and are distributed among the students.
  • An annual Kelani pilgrimage, Sri Maha Bodhi pilgrimage and Tooth relic pilgrimage is organized by the Buddhist society.
